The Quality Assurance Clinical Specialist works with the VP of Compliance to organize, collect and analyze quality and performance improvement data related to the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Program. The role of the specialist is essential to maintaining the integrity of Care Options for Kids delivery of quality care and patient safety.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ALL STAFF:

· Current State LPN License.
· Minimum of one year of experience as an LPN preferred.
· Minimum of one year in home care strongly preferred.
· Intermediate competency with computers and other technology that are utilized to conduct job functions.
· Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
· Must be able to solve problems and function effectively and often autonomously in a stressful work environment.
· Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Light to moderate physical exertion regularly such as: lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, stopping, kneeling and reaching.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds such as: books, papers, files, medical/office supplies etc. frequently.
· Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time in the work area.
· Ability to transport oneself to and from work site.
What we Offer:
$25.00 to $27.00/hr

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure adherence to and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, contracts, accreditation standards and policies and procedures of all offices by:
- Reviewing all clinical assessments and 485’s/POC’s for accuracy.
- Implementing proactive audit program throughout organization including client file audits.
- Identify trends within offices and throughout organization to develop Plans of Correction and implement best practices.
- Ensure programs and audit tools reflect current regulations, standards and clinical protocols.
- Advise Executive Leadership team on appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist with all surveys by:
- Conducting client record audits and providing the findings on deficiencies.
- Ensure Patient Records are maintained in survey-ready status.
- Preparation audits beyond routine audit program.
- Be available during office hours for survey assistance for issues that arise.
- Identify any organizational clinical or compliance gaps that exist and provide potential solutions to remedy.
- Assist with the implementation and roll-out of new initiatives and projects as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of organization clinical and operational compliance program to maintain high percentage of compliance across company at all times.
- Submit all requested reports, action plans, etc. timely to management as requested.
- Assist with administrative duties such as answering phones, forwarding appropriate faxes to correct offices or clinical team members and other administrative duties as needed or directed.

- Report to work as assigned or scheduled timely. Follow procedures for notification of absence or time-off requests.
- Maintain professional/technical competency and proficiency of job responsibilities by attending and participating in meetings, conferences and education programs as requested.
